Schu’s Grill & Bar goes SMOKE-FREE
Downtown St. Joseph, Michigan: Consistently a leader in its industry and community, Schu’s Grill & Bar in downtown St. Joseph, Michigan has announced that their restaurant will become a smoke-free environment beginning January 27, 2006.
“We know this will please the vast majority of our customers and is much more fitting to the image we portray,” commented owner, Larry Schuler. “We have had a no smoking policy in place for our employees for years,” he added.
The choice of January 27th as a kick-off date ties in with a fund-raising event Schu’s Grill & Bar hosts every January. “Celebrity Servers,” who are actually members of the community and friends of Larry and Molly Schuler’s donate their time, encourage friends to dine at Schu’s and tip generously during “Schulebration” weekend. All tips are tallied and a check is presented to the American Cancer Society.
“We are enthusiastic about providing a clean, smoke-free environment to our patrons. Our new fireplace also adds a great deal to the ambiance,” said Schuler. “We especially hope those who have decided to kick the habit in ’06 will come to Schu’s with their friends to enjoy a non-smoking, temptation-free dining experience, overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan.
And of course, Schu’s motto is, “Great food, great view, just add friends.”
